There's a career meme thingy making the rounds, so I took it while waiting for a task to finish.

1. Computer Trainer (Huh... which I used to do as part of my living)

2. ESL Teacher (Meh - although I was an adult literacy tutor)

3. Professor (Meh, and it disappeared when it found out I don't have university education)

4. Researcher (Suitably vague, but a bit meh)

5. Political Aide (This was interesting because I don't know what a political aide does. Back in the day I worked on campaign materials and wrote a ballot measure, and my causes won, so that may say something. Or not.)

6. Writer (See above, except honestly I can't write and don't know how this got in here)

7. Health Records Professional (Are there some?)

8. Corporate Trainer (I think this got rated lower because I negatoried the "travel around" question. But I used to do this for a living!)

9. Administrative Assistant (Have done this for a million years, when I wasn't doing #8. God, this is depressing.)

10. Technical Writer (Have done some of this too!)

11. Critic (I like to think of it as a calling, really)

And then it's dull and downhill from here. Not enough questions about working with animals, if you ask me. Not once did they ask if I'd like a career involving playing with cute little forest creatures. Clearly their methodology is flawed. Then I plugged in my skills and got thoroughly depressed. Need to go eat lunch first - might help, can't hurt.

As [livejournal.com profile] vali_dog would say, Bye!

I may need to pick your brain about the trainer experience and moving forward from it. I have a friend who has been a trainer for comcast for the last several years, and needs to get away from there desperately but has no clue who to retranslate those skills so they have a wider appeal. Think you might be able to lend a paw?

AND... I still have cookbooks for you that are made of easy, awesome, yum, and win. :)

Oh there most certainly are medical records professionals. A guy I dated in high school is married to a professor who teaches medical records. Yes, it is university material, of all things. He's a more traditional English professor. Anyway, I know of at least two Universities that have departments for medical records.

Ha! Ha! Ha!

I know this is off topic for this post, but please tell me:
What color is your favorite purse? What other colors do you like?

Hey there! My purse (I only have one - don't tell the other girls or they'll kick me out of the club) is black. Other favorite colors are the jewel tones - garnet, sapphire, amethyst, emerald. I think it's because I'm a Winter!
