Valley of the Thoughtlettes
Jul. 3rd, 2002 11:57 pmWhat happened to my "Y" key? How can you chip a keyboard key?
Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino are starting to look exactly alike. I lost a bet that DeNiro was in the movie "Insomnia" when it was actually Pacino. In my defense, I haven't seen the movie, only the preview, but still--!
S got his hair cut today and somehow it ended up longer than it was when we went in. What is HAPPENING around here??? If I see a crop circle in my bucket of Red Vines, I'm taking the next plane out of town.
Sanju the Psychokitty is a good mother. She has a little blue fuzzy ball toy that we call the sparklemouse. Every time we go over there, the sparklemouse is in either the food or the water bowl. I've heard of ferrets conscientiously making sure their favorite toys get enough to eat or drink, but never a cat.
This evening we went to the Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts get-together. For this monthly event, local cycle fans take over a couple of blocks around Roosevelt and wander around checking out each other's equipment. We met up with our friend Scott, who is justifiably proud of his customized R1. For K & C's benefit: There were a lot of Triumphs in various stages of decay, but not a single Speed Triple! We did see a bike that looked just like the old white 750. There were no H2s but there should have been at least one (hint hint). We probably have the world's politest, most mild-mannered bike gatherings. Scott said it's really more like a Model-T club.
I picked up a new book about the art of LotR:FotR but I'm postponing reading it until I do something productive and earn a reward. This will never happen, so will somebody else read the book and tell me what it's like? Thank you.
