Still not really all with it. Maybe it's the weather, which has been warm and muggy and oppressive. Maybe it's because I haven't eaten anything remotely nutritious in days. I'm drowning my sorrows in Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ice cream and Red Vines and wouldn't recognize a vitamin if it stood up and belted out the Anvil Chorus.

Anywho, today I did my duty by K & C's kitties and fish. I don't care if they are dried, bloodworms are a singularly disgusting substance and I feel faint rooting around in the canister for a good pinchful. Why can't the fish eat McFishFlakes like normal fish? And speaking of disgusting substances, here is reason #1,732 why ferrets are better than cats: Ferrets only barf if they are really, really sick. Cats barf if they're lonely, if they're cold, if they're bored, if they've eaten too much, if they haven't eaten enough, if they like you, if they hate you, if they feel they have good reason, or if they're sure they have no reason at all. I could have left the barf for tomorrow's caretaker to clean up, but even I'm not that sadistic. I'm relatively sure that if I stop feeding them, they will eventually stop barfing.

I played with Steroidkitty by hoisting her ample self up the carpetwall so she could pretend she was a beautiful butterfly floating gracefully above the ground. I know that the steroids are probably to blame, but we're going to start calling her Ol' Granite Butt if she doesn't lose some of the avoirdupois. Psychokitten was so sweet; she jumped up (as well as a three-legged cat can) onto the couch to sit with me until S arrived, and then she slutted all over him because he's a boy and I'm just an icky girl. Cats.
