Hey, eBayers! I got a dangerous scam spam in my mailbox yesterday. It purports to come from eBay and wants to congratulate me on achieving my "orange star" and reward me with a special promotional gift! All I have to do is click on the link they so thoughtfully provided, enter my eBay userid and password, and type in the "promotion code"! And I will win...the wholesale rape of my eBay account and the ruination of my good reputation! Wow! What a deal!

Couple of things: (1) eBay doesn't issue "orange stars." (2) My current feedback is not at a milestone (e.g., 500 feedbacks), so even if they did issue orange stars, I'm not due for one. (3) Your counterfeiting job is pretty good, but not perfect: You have a glaring typo, and your graphics are a little jaggy. (4) It's not nice to prey on people who don't know that the underlined text of a hyperlink has nothing to do with where the link takes them and don't know how to view email headers.

Spoof@ebay.com and spam@ebay.com are on your trail, assclowns.

I figure that when I hit age 42, I'm going to start carrying a sword and smiting the unrighteous. Haven't yet decided if it will be a virtual or literal sword. ;-)

These scammers just make me so damn mad because their intent is 100% criminal and malicious. There are plenty of innocent, dumb bunnies out there who might have been taken in.

You do us all proud, WM!
Truth, Justice and the umm....well, screw it!

I think you should carry a REAl sword and have a breast plate, as well.

Is there going to be a spandex suit involved also? Should I start crafting impossible cool gadgets now? or on an as needed basis. Our basement could double as your Weasel lair (put some hammocks up, maybe some large cardboard tubes...). OHHH OHHH when are the sidekick tryouts!!!!

Well, actually, I was hoping for more of the Maid of Orleans thing, with the sword and the armor (but not so much of the burning at the stake). I think you've been watching waaay too many Saturday morning cartoons. The old ones. ;-)

And tell your wife to leave my breasts out of her depraved conversation!

Smooch,
