We came, we saw, we shopped.
Jun. 9th, 2002 11:59 pmToday was a mostly pleasant day. PMB's friend A decided she needed some thrift store shopping, and a couple of us tagged along for the ride. K ferried (and I use the word advisedly) us around in her fabulous platinum blue '64 Lincoln with a hood scoop and a tri-barreled nitro frambulator, or whatever the thing is called that makes the 5-ton car get up and scoot. We hit four thrift stores, but the group's collective shopping karma was a little off today. I bought two ill-considered pairs of shoes and a pair of lace gloves with big velvet bows. Oh yeah, I'll be getting a lot of use out of those.
We made a side trip to the ferret shelter so I could get a weasel fix. It's been 10 months since my little girl died, and I can't adopt any new furkids until I have a job. This will never happen, so I'm doomed to a weasel-less existence. If you don't have any weasels, how can you be a weaselmom?
