Another day older and deeper in debt.
Mar. 9th, 2003 11:32 pmWell, we've survived another weekend of the minefield that is March. On Saturday I did stuff and things with S, and we finished the evening by watching the movie "Brotherhood of the Wolf." It was very nice to look at, but I kept expecting it to be something...different. I'm not really sure what. It felt like there were three different movies all struggling for equal time.
Today I went out for a very satisfying afternoon of shopping with PMB. We were on a circuit tour of shops that were having an interrelated sale day. Go to all three shops and get your card stamped, and then you get entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate. Let this serve as formal notice to PMB that I won the one we entered! Somewhere in all the meandering was a tasty lunch at B&O that did not, astonishingly enough, end in chocolate. Clearly an oversight on my part.
At the TJTAMB, I've been moved out of my fabulous private office with the panoramic view of the Sound and the Olympics to make room for an upcoming new hire at some point. Now I'm out in general population. In one sense it's nice, because I did miss seeing people and talking to them during the day. In the other sense, well, there's the whole privacy-and-view thing. If I actually get hired on, I will begin stealthily moving weaselgoods into my cube. Unlike the Evil Gaming Empire, the work environment at the TJTAMB will not welcome my umpty-dozen Spawn action figures, but surely a few pictures of weasels won't bring the wrath of HR down on my head.
Laundry has been done, tea (decaf) has been consumed, and it's time to think about turning in.
