weaselmomMore swellness today. An inordinate amount of the day was spent trying to decide what to wear to the club. PMB loves this part of Thursday; I think it is a right savage pain in the ass. I loathe most everything in my closet, and what I don't loathe doesn't fit quite right. Curse you, PMB, for setting the bar so high that I can never go in jeans and a "Porn Bitch" t-shirt ever again.
The club was fun, even if we did arrive rather later than we expected. The whole crowd was there so hilarity ensued, and I didn't have to hiss vague threats about disemboweling any "guest DJs" with a pickle fork. Afterwards there was a deeeeelightful and unexpected interlude with S. A good day, indeed.
The real highlight, though, was dinner with K & C at the apartment of a dear old friend, L. None of us had seen her new place or her new cats. The cats are tres amusante as cats go, but the view! There are few things more beautiful than a view of our entire western cityscape, mountains, and sea. This event meant a lot to me because my relationship with L had seriously deteriorated after the horror of the imploding dotcom. I wasn't sure if I could continue to have any relationship at all, my repressed feelings were that strong. But the overall situation has changed in some important ways, and it suddenly became apparent that there has been an L-shaped hole in my heart. I don't know if we'll ever get back on our original footing, but my life is better for having her as a part of it.
The imminent weekend is filling up with tentative plans: riding and shopping, with yummies sandwiched in as appropriate. I hope I hope I hope all these plans work out, as I want to spend time getting to better know some terrific people.
