Our email is down. Hold me.
Aug. 20th, 2008 02:33 pmSo our email is down at work, and I am consumed with an overpowering need to send emails. And I can't. All I can think about is emailing people. "Hey! I should drop So-and-so a line... OOPS!" Or "Hey! I owe that guy a reply." But NO. Honestly, I don't know what to do. HelpDesk says to go take a break, have a cookie. (They know me pretty well down there.) I'm going to go wander the halls disconsolately and talk to people that I could have emailed IF ONLY. My co-workers and I have switched to our BlackBerries and those emails aren't getting through either. That's just cruel.
What is it about human nature that, as soon as we cannot do something, we are absolutely afire to do that one thing?
So I'm reduced to communicating with the outside world via LJ or by phone, but I don't like to talk on the phone.
Hello?
