18: Number of caches on our list for Saturday.

15: Number of caches actually found.

1: Number of caches put off for another day on account of not wanting to be stuck near UW when the game let out.

2: Number of DNFs. We think they are actually missing, not just that we couldn't find them.

14: Number of caches found by Weaseldad.

1.5: Number of caches found by Weaselmom, who was having a day of astonishing woolly-headedness, partly because of this stupid cold. The .5 cache was because Weaseldad was practically pointing at it for me. The 1 was found by the simple expedient of kicking a fern and hearing a "clonk."

15: Number of minutes it took us to find a 1/1 that was supposed to be one of the world's easiest caches. *That's* the kind of day I was having.

1: Number of squirrels hand-fed almonds at Ravenna.

3: Total number of squirrels fed, even if the others weren't brave enough to take from my hand.

69: Temperature it was supposed to be according to the weatherguessers (and sunny).

59: Actual temperature (and cloudy).

2500: Number of calories consumed (each) at dinner at Dan's restaurant.

91: Total number of caches found so far.

I personally think feeding squirrels should count in some fashion.

1: Number of people who discovered that salt-rimmed margarita glasses are not to their taste.

Those grains of salt were huge! I have smaller solitaire stones than that! What do I look like, Bambi? (Don't answer that, because it gives S weird ideas about antlers and a paintball gun.)

The only way I'm ever going to get to Heaven is by being kind to small, furry animals. Man, the one squirrel, the brave one, came running. He knew which side his almonds were buttered on.

Sounds like you had fun, regardless of wooly headedness.

mmm... buttered almonds...

(ooh, by the way, I took a movie of Chloe last night. To be posted at some point soon.)

You know, except for about 15 minutes, I *did* have fun. The whole thing, my inability to find any caches, just became ludicrously hilarious. There are a lot more beautiful parks up here than I had ever dreamed. I would love to take the furgirls to all of them!

Thank god there were people present who were willing to lick the rim for you.

Glad you had such a geocachy filled day. We were really hoping to spend some time tromping through the woods with you Sunday. The weather was truly suxx0r and, as it happens, the [livejournal.com profile] woadwarrior caught the cold that you and I suffered with last week.

(I think you'd look rather fetching in antlers).

Deer, deer, [livejournal.com profile] weaselmom as you know you wouldn't have antlers if you were of the Bambi persuasion. Now for you to be a Bambi you would have to spell it with a cute heart over the "i" (I think there is some RCW to that effect) and weaseldad's thoughts would not be of guns and antlers but of brass poles and lap dances.

I probably shouldn't say this in a public place, but Weaseldad is a LOT more interested in guns and antlers than brass poles and lap dances.

We will have to pick a time in advance (like a couple of days in advance) to go out and hit the many fine GCs in the north end of town (like between Green Lake and Shoreline or something like that, if we have the time and inclination) or just around your place. It does take a certain amount of preparation, for us at least. Some intrepid souls are ready to do it at a moment's notice, but I am a lot more high-maintenance than that. (This will of course come as such a shock.) I'll take your word for the crappy weather; I figured since I wasn't even getting dressed, no point in looking outside! But I am so sad to hear that Himself has caught the cold. I thought his voice sounded like he was coming down with something. We must get him well soon!

Oh, man, I must be brain-dead. Five hours of sleep'll do that to you.

Still, I'm thinking of watching a movie, by myself even. Yes, I know it's after midnight, but I just had dinner and accidentally had dessert of ice cream with chocolate in it (well, it was sort "dinner" all by itself). Oops. Need to do something with this dead brain: Movie!

(Was just talking with Kij while I shopped, in fact. It'll have to be one of those. Weee, tired and wired!)

"Sweets Keep Me Up." Weren't we going to tattoo you with this on one arm, and "It's Probably A Pass" on the other?
