A nice, low-key weekend.
Feb. 23rd, 2003 10:31 pmThe toe (note lower case) and I rested on Saturday to help speed the healing process. We watched "Ice Age" and "High Fidelity" on video, read comics, ate Easter M&Ms, and played those dopey little free games on Yahoo.
Sunday was a little more interesting because we actually left the house! K&C inspired us to go see "Daredevil," which was better than I expected. Of course, I had never heard of the characters or story until this movie, so I wasn't disappointed by anything that happened. (This must be the blissful ignorance experienced by complete Tolkien neophytes upon seeing the wholesale havoc wreaked upon the storyline in "The Two Towers." I wondered how it felt.) In keeping with the weekend's comics motif, we watched "X-Men" on TV just now. Did a little desultory housework so the place doesn't look like it was hit by Hurricane Agnes. It wasn't a weekend designed to light anybody's world on fire, but I'm reasonably content with it. So nyah.
