Better post something...
Oct. 2nd, 2002 09:05 pm...or people will think I've fallen off the face of the earth. I'm on this low-paying temp gig until 10/21, and the work is menial yet tiring. Also I'm tired because I get up at 6:30 every morning. In fact, I'm just generally dull and dizzy from tiredness. Unfortunately, in spite of all this tiredness, I still can't fall asleep much before midnight. So I am extra and specially tired.
PMB let me borrow Anno Dracula, which turned out to be absolutely marvelous. I have the sequels on order from the library. I was particularly impressed by the surprising, explosive ending. Too many times I read books where the ending just kind of peters out, as if the author couldn't quite figure out how to end it. This one is most decisive.
Today's theme: I'm tired. Maybe when I'm not so tired, I'll post an update about our triumphant Autumn War, at which our Clan chief got his AoA and the entire Clan was called before Their Majesties for recognition.
p.s. Did you know that what we in America call a "moose" is called an "elk" by the rest of the world? And what we call an "elk" is called a "wapiti" by everybody else? Make a note, in case you ever get on Jeopardy.
